one-sided statement n. partial reason n. single argument n. unreasonable argument n A one-sided argument (also known as card stacking, stacking the deck, ignoring the counterevidence, slanting, and suppressed evidence) is an informal fallacy that occurs when only the reasons supporting a proposition are supplied, while all reasons opposing it are omitted A one-sided argument presents only evidence favoring its conclusion, and ignores or downplays the evidence against it. One-sidedness is a fallacy of inductive, rather than deductive, reasoning. In induction there is a Total Evidence Requirement 10, which means that one must consider all of the available evidence before coming to a conclusion
